Attorney at Law

Attorney Dan E. Martens holds undergraduate and law degrees from Southern Methodist University and has completed additional coursework at the Pepperdine University School of Law. Dan has held an AV peer rating by Martindale-Hubbell lawyer ratings since 1984.

Dan is licensed to practice before courts in the State of Texas, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Tax court, the Federal Courts in the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the Western District of Oklahoma.

Practicing law is a continual learning process.


Dan has been married to the former Susan Farmer since 1976, with whom he has two children. One of his children teaches at Centennial Elementary School in Plano, and the other is a mechanical engineer with Texas Instruments in Dallas. Dan served his country as a naval officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War.

Dan has served as President of the Board of Directors of The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas and the Journey of Hope Grief Support Center. He currently serves as a Trustee of The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas Endowment Foundation and is an Advisory Director of The Ronald McDonald House of Dallas.
